What is the meaning of KALO you might ask? KALO is the Hawaiian word for taro. Taro root is a starchy, gluten free vegetable and is one of the many flavors that we offer in our milk teas and smoothies.
Speaking of roots, many of us owners have been raising our families in Chula Vista and the opportunity to open our first restaurant in this area has been such a blessing for our company. The idea of KALO started with our kids’ basketball team as we noticed we were frequenting many boba and acai establishments after their games and practices. We wanted to have a place where our kids and our community could enjoy offering both boba and acai.
We are excited to offer great tasting, nutritious, and fresh products. We also strive to provide professional customer service and our location has notable amenities such as ample parking, large dining space, free WiFi, and charging stations.
